What makes your business unique?

White House with dark trim

I’m giving it a name – I’m calling it the “Joanna Gaines Effect.”

I may be wrong, but it seems like Joanna Gaines had a huge impact on the popularity of white home exteriors with dark trim.

When homeowners around me first started adopting this striking paint style (and it is a nice look), their houses really stood out from the rest. They caught your eye and drew your attention.

Then everybody started copying the look. It’s not unique any longer. I’ve even seen entire neighborhoods where every house has a slight variation of this theme.

And while they still look great, they don’t stand out. It’s not a differentiator when everyone does it. That’s the Joanna Gaines Effect.

Are you doing what everyone else is doing? Are you playing everyone else’s game? Maybe you must, especially incorporating new technology or adapting to changing market tastes.

But don’t you want to stand out from the crowd? Not just be another copycat?

Why should a potential client buy from you instead of your competitors? Maybe it’s your product, your service, how you make people feel, or something else. Whatever it is, double down on it.

With System & Soul, this is part of your roadmap to success, part of your strategic plan. You identify your superpowers and what sets you apart from everyone else. You create a destiny that is all your own. And then you lean into it.

Use what makes you unique to grow your business, your people, and your impact.
